My experience with teaching was accelerated when I was hired by School of Rock Chicago in 2004.
The school was just opened and they had around a dozen students total.
Some of those students had studied a little and some not at all.
Our team, (including the parents!) were able to grow rapidly enough to present a concert of Pink Floyd's "The Wall" in its entirety within the first year!
How this works is that the information presented to students in their private lessons is put into action in additional group lessons.
The natural response to these results is frequently amplified with the impulse to learn more.
When the first ensemble show is presented at a music venue in front of an audience this inclination can really flourish.
Overall, the school and the program become a nurturing community wherein all students are encouraged to succeed by one another.
Everybody wants to turn in a great performance as much as anyone wants to see/hear a great performance.
Technically, the School of Rock method is patented (US patent number 10,891,872 issued on 1/12/2021) and I will employ elements of that but I also include things I've learned from my own life in Music as well as what mentors have taught me through the years.
My own experiences both on stage and in rehearsals have taught me how to help students develop a Love of Music that could last a lifetime.
